Two days to explore islands without hurrying, snorkel, watch the sunset from the sand and spend a night under stars with no city light in the way.
The real difference isn't seeing more islands — it's the stretch between 16:00 and 9:00 the next morning: when the day-trip boats leave, the island goes quiet. That is the San Blas almost nobody sees. Day one leaves at 5:00 am for the first islands, sunset and dinner; day two, islands and the Natural Pool before returning at 15:00.

$190 per traveller. That covers transport from Panama City, the sailing, the meals of the format and the guide. Outside it sits the comarca entry, $22 for foreigners and $7 for residents, paid in cash on the way in.
This format sells an area, not a named island: what you'll see is Cabaña sobre el mar, Islas privadas, Piscina Natural. In the remote cays you anchor where the sea allows that day, so the skipper picks the exact spot in the morning.
Departure is always before dawn, around 5:00, because the mountain pass and the tide impose it. The return depends on the format: single-day trips come back that afternoon, multi-night ones on the last day.
Simple and with no hotel fittings at all: no air conditioning, no wifi, no hot water, and the light depends on a generator that shuts down at an hour. It sits on the sand with the sea in front. Whoever knows that beforehand sleeps well; whoever expects a resort does not.
Nothing scheduled, and that is precisely the product. Between the afternoon and the next morning there is no activity and no timetable: what remains is the island, dinner, a sky with no city lights and the sound of the water. It is the part no single-day format can sell.
Barely, and only at times. The power comes from a generator that runs for a few hours and then shuts off, so the sensible thing is to arrive with a charged power bank and a head torch. It is also why the sky looks the way it does: when the light goes, none is left.
